Our Approach
Consultation
Physical therapists at the Hruska Clinic share a passion for working with patients. But there is something else we love to do as well, and that is to consult. Furthermore, it is our intention to not only educate the patient being treated, but also to educate other healthcare providers that may be involved in the patient’s plan of care. We take a great deal of pride in the relationships we have developed in Lincoln, its surrounding communities and across the country. For years, our therapists have provided guidance to other physical therapists all over the US that are also practicing the science of the Postural Restoration Institute(PRI).
Our consultation services include responding to email and phone questions and requests for assistance from PRI trained physical therapists on a daily basis. Additionally, physical therapists from Lincoln and across the country often send their patients to the Hruska Clinic for direction and guidance in their PRI based physical therapy treatment program. The staff at the Hruska Clinic offers a supportive consultation environment which not only benefits the patient, but also assists in educating their physical therapist so that they can continue to work with the patient in their respective clinic. If consultation with a Hruska Clinic therapist is necessary, the patient’s current physical therapist will sometimes travel with their patient to the Hruska Clinic, which offers a fabulous learning environment for everyone. We have also recently begun video conferencing consultations online to assist PRI trained therapists with their most challenging patients!
Aside from consulting with physical therapists, we’ve had the opportunity to consult with many athletes, coaches, and athletic trainers form the high school, collegiate and professional levels. As Biomechanical Consultants to the University of Nebraska – Lincoln through the Division of Athletic Medicine, our staff has had the opportunity to work closely with the physicians, athletic trainers and athletes with their respective sport.
